01 · Area

Kitchen

The room that takes the longest. We don't speedrun it. Plan on 60-90 minutes here for an average kitchen.

  • Counters and backsplash wiped down
  • Sink scrubbed: basin, sides, drain, and the rim where gunk hides
  • Faucet polished, including the back of the spout and the base
  • Stovetop scrubbed; grates and drip pans pulled and degreased
  • Range hood exterior wiped, filter degreased if accessible
  • Microwave interior, exterior, turntable, and door seal
  • Oven exterior wiped (interior is a separate add-on)
  • Refrigerator exterior, including the top where dust collects
  • Dishwasher exterior wiped, control panel cleaned
  • Cabinet doors and drawer fronts wiped, handles polished
  • Inside any open shelving (knickknacks dusted and replaced)
  • Trash can interior and exterior wiped, fresh bag
  • Light fixtures and pendant lamps dusted
  • Switch plates and outlet covers wiped
  • Window sill and track behind the sink (the one nobody cleans)
  • Floor swept and mopped, including corners and under the toe kick

Bathrooms

Every bathroom, every visit, the same checklist. Hospital grade disinfectant on the toilet and shower.

  • Toilet bowl scrubbed inside and out, including under the rim
  • Toilet seat top and bottom, hinges, lid
  • Toilet base and floor behind the bowl (where it actually matters)
  • Shower or tub: walls, floor, glass door, grout lines
  • Shower head descaled if needed
  • Sink, faucet, drain, and overflow opening
  • Mirror polished clean with no streaks
  • Counter and vanity surfaces
  • Cabinet doors and drawer fronts wiped
  • Towel bars, hooks, toilet paper holder
  • Switch plates and outlets wiped
  • Exhaust fan vent dusted
  • Trash can wiped, fresh liner
  • Floor mopped, corners and behind the toilet included

Bedrooms

  • Beds made (linens stripped and replaced if requested)
  • Nightstands, dressers, headboards, and any vanities dusted
  • Lamps and lampshades dusted (yes, the shade)

  • Picture frames and wall art dusted
  • Decorative items wiped or dusted as appropriate
  • Window sills and tracks wiped
  • Closet doors wiped, handles polished
  • Baseboards wiped down by hand
  • Switch plates and outlet covers wiped
  • Floors vacuumed, including under the bed if accessible
  • Hardwood or tile floors mopped
  • Ceiling fan blades wiped (every blade, top and bottom)

Living areas, dens, offices

  • Electronics dusted: TVs, speakers, lamps, cords organized
  • Books and decorative items individually dusted, replaced
  • Couches and chairs vacuumed; cushions removed, area beneath cleaned, replaced
  • Throw pillows plumped, blankets folded
  • Picture frames and wall art dusted
  • Mirrors polished
  • Window sills and tracks wiped
  • Rugs vacuumed both sides if reasonable to lift
  • Hardwood or tile floors mopped
  • Light fixtures and ceiling fans dusted

05 · Area

Everywhere else

The boring, repetitive work that separates a deep clean from a quick wipe. Done on every visit.

  • Every switch plate and outlet cover wiped
  • Top of every door dusted (the spot nobody ever checks)
  • Every door frame wiped
  • All baseboards wiped down by hand, every linear foot
  • All visible cobwebs removed, corners and ceiling lines
  • Air vents and return registers dusted
  • Smoke detectors and CO detectors dusted
  • Thermostat wiped
  • All floors vacuumed, then mopped where appropriate
  • All trash emptied at every location, fresh liners
  • All entry mats shaken out, area beneath swept
  • Stair treads vacuumed; bannisters and rails wiped
06 · Area

Before we leave

  • Lead walks the entire house with the checklist in hand
  • Any spot that's not up to standard is fixed on the spot, not next visit
  • Photos taken of any existing issues flagged at the walkthrough
  • All cleaning supplies removed; nothing left behind
  • Lights off, doors locked or returned to whatever state we found them
  • Quick note left on the counter with anything we noticed during the visit
